We have an alsatian x border collie. We have had her for years and she has always been very stable and not at all phased by noises and events etc. For many years we have all happily watched TV all in the same room, but within the last 4 months or so she has started really freaking out when we watch Bargain Hunt of all things. She trembles, drools a little and tries to squeeze herself under a cupboard. We end up having to put her in another room whilst this is on. It has to be said that she now avoids the TV room unless we are eating in there (she isn't THAT daft) but something has certainly rattled her. Any ideas?

That is interesting. Does your dog react the same way when the volume on the TV is turned off? A dog has ultra sensitive hearing and it could be something on that program that is triggering her reactions. Since she is also drooling she is exhibiting an almost seizure type of reaction. I would also take her in to her vet to rule out any real health problem before marking up the incident as "supernatural."
